Stop Searching for God--
A conference in the Spirit of Anthony de Mello, S.J.
Friday April 15, 2011 to Palm Sunday April 17, 2011
Come join us for a weekend of de Mello spirituality at the beautiful New Jersey shore.
For Tony de Mello spirituality means "waking up" to what's in front of you.
Through a series of talks, discussions, prayer and exercises, you will find
yourself more availabe to the joy of the present moment.
In the book, One Minute Wisdom, Tony writes:
"Don't look for God," the Master said. "Just look--and all will be revealed. "
"But how can one look?"
"Each time you look at anything, see only what is there and nothing else."
The disciples were bewildered, so the Master made it simpler:
"For instance: When you look at the moon, see the moon and nothing else."
"What else could you see except the moon when one looks at the moon?"
"A hungry person could see a ball of cheese. A lover, the face of his beloved."
